Our popular MB series of magnetic breakaways can now be ordered with a micro switch control as an option.

The standard MB-1, MB-2 and MB-4 magnetic plasma breakaways are now available with a totally enclosed micro switch that is built right into the base of the magnetic breakaway.

This micro switch control will provide both a normally open, as well as, a normally closed circuit control.

Now you can have the benefit of a magnetic plasma torch breakaway with complete plasma arc and gantry movement control at the exact moment of magnetic base separation.  (CRASH)

All Boss Manufacturing plasma torch protection systems come with two safety lanyard cables (one on each side) to protect your plasma torch from falling into the cut material or worse yet through the slats or into the water table.

With micro switch protection you truly do have all your bases covered.

In the event of an X, Y or Z riser crash your plasma torch will always be totally protected and your work will be too.  When wired correctly, the micro switch will stop all gantry movement, as well as, plasma arc at the moment magnetic breakaway separation is detected.

The micro switch is encapsulated into the base of the magnetic breakaway and the switch’s plunger is sealed to prevent plasma dust intrusion.

The micro switch is rated for 5 amps and all wiring is military grade.
